…In case you missed their release here’s a second chance to get acquainted. I originally planned to only post up to date and future developments in the Naturalismo music scene but I’ve realized that there’s so many bands who are overlooked that I must cover everything. Citay is difficult to classify, a common theme with Naturalismo’s artists, influenced by bands such as Donovan and (acoustic) Led Zepplin their hybrid sound is unique yet instantly catchy. I’m always finding their stomp-snare-clap-hands grooves popping into my head at random intervals during the day. Touring with acts such as Vetiver, Six Organs Of Admittance and Howlin’ Rain they’ve been around, yet I haven’t been hearing enough about them for how great they are. Perhaps that will change with the release of their new album due for a release in Autumn of 07. It has already been recorded and is merely awaiting delivery. Give these tracks a listen from their self-titled release:

Citay – Nice Cuffs (Listen to this one first)

Citay – Seasons don’t fear the year

  1. Hello,
Thanks for mentioning my pals Citay, they kick ass. Just wanted to mention that I took the above photo, and mysteriously Julie has been cut off! In the original photo she is all the way on the right. Weird.

  2. Hey, I love your work and photography! Sorry I didn’t give you credit here, I just grabbed the picture from their myspace real fast. I think my blogs template cuts off pictures on some monitors for some reason. It’s a trade off between big pictures or smaller ones that perfectly fit on everyones screens. I was actually in the midst of preparing a feature about you when I get more time to get it organized. Would you be open to answering some questions about your work? Let me know, thanks!
