Bearded Ladies

If you enjoyed last weeks post about Sibylle Baier, then get ready for an entire albums worth of contemporary and past female folk gems. Spanning four decades, Bearded Ladies brings together some of the finest female folk of present and yore. Bearded Ladies will be out soon on Finders Keepers Records and features the following artists:
Wendy & Bonnie, Susan Christie, Bonnie Dobson, Brigitte Fontaine, Jane Weaver (Misty Dixon), Emma Tricca, Cate Le Bon, Selda, Heaven & Earth, Lights (Produced by ESPERS’ Greg Weeks), Spec Mountain, Magpahi, Heather Jones, Turid, Lispector.

Huge thanks to gorilla vs bear for bringing this to my attention. Head over there to download a (possible) track from the upcoming album by the wonderful Susan Christie. Her album Paint a lady was recorded in the early 70’s but only three copies were ever made. Finders Keepers used the original acetate to resuscitate the forgotten recording and bring it back for us to hear.

You can find more information about Bearded Ladies and Susan Christies’s Paint a lady over at Finders Keepers website.

Casting and trolling will be effective in the western basin but as you
move east to deeper waters trolling becomes the best method for catching the trophy walleye.

  2. Hmm it seems such as your website ate my first comment (it
was actually super long) and so i guess I’ll just
sum it what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your
blog site. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still a novice to everything.
Are you experiencing any helpful hints for first-time blog writers?
    I’d definitely appreciate it.
