who ever said over analysis, was definately correct. it is meant to be enjoyed and not over analysed. justification for his technique of creating natural aesthetic beauty is not necessary. if anything, everybody has a respect for his skill, eye for detail and pateince in his art making.
hello,
I am working on my own site, to propote my work (i am stage director, nothing to do with land art).
I would like very much to include one or two photos of Andy goldsworthy, who is one of the person I admire the most in the world.
I found the photos on your site very beautiful and faith to his wonderfull work. Would you allow me to use some in my site? I would of course mention my source and the adress of your site on the page.
Best regards
Françoise

beautiful…. common things people walk by and step on are things that bring tears to my eyes. im working with pine cones at this moment. you just gave me inspiration andy, thank you.
Im trying to use a similar concept in my work by using repetion and patterns to desribe natural rhythms, and my tutors are giving me grief because they say its poor communication.
It’s making me very sad that they can’t look at my work conceptually..

so all you people (mainly bob) go to the trouble of writing complete crap about pointless stuff…umm why!? like no one cares if ur watching porn, or jacking off by looking at artwork.. (that’s new) even if u are, why write shit, it’s amazing and you shouldn’t write shit on here, i bet if there was a like button i would get a few

Being forced to over-analyze his work in a required sculpture class kinda took the whimsy away from his work, for me.
Suck it, art school.
Andy’s work is so beautiful & timeless…
Seconding “Rivers and Tides”, also Fred Frith’s lovely soundtrack CD.

andy goldsworthy is amazing
il a dut avoir beaucoup de patience pour faire ces “oeuvres d’art”
Andy Goldsworthy’s art is incredible! I was asked to critique his work for a sculpture class and boy was that hard to do!
