First up is a song by the Bay Area’s Norse Horse, that with its shimmery guitar and summer shuffle percussion, probably should have made it onto Copper Tones, . They definitely are a band to keep an eye on that hasn’t gotten too much press yet. It kind of sounds like the song was originally sample based then later reconstructed after by playing it live with instruments…a sound that I think is going to really dominate this year and will probably be mastered best by the up coming Panda Bear releases.

Next is Forest Fire’s song I make windows off their album Survival, that was released for free earlier this year. There’s something kind of endearing about their ramshackle Crazy Horsesque meandering guitar lines that perfectly captures that end of summer feeling… definitely good road trip music.
