Driftin’ with Know Phase // A Valentine Mix

Download: Driftin’ with Know Phase // A Valentine Mix

Hey Tuff Dudes,

Valentines Day is just around the corner-have a mix yet for your babe? No? Well then read on, this mix is centered around Elvis’ interpretation of Blue Moon. Possibly the peak, or rather the absolute cozy sullen valley of all music ever recorded. Easily the most raw love song of all time. A nearly impossible precedent to set for a mix philosophy but I think you’ll enjoy it. Some roughed up diamonds on it that nearly drove me deaf digging up. Like any good romance it starts off bright and happy then finishes in a pit of ashed salacious despair. Clair-Obscur. A croon filled yet contemporary tinged jaunt. Have at it:

  2. It’s nothin’ to me was always my go-to obscure track. It’s nice to have it in relatively decent quality, at least. The best I’d had before was recorded off an internet radio station. Lee Hazlewood production.

  3. damn this is a hot mix. who is this Lawrence character and where does he come up with this stuff? heard he’s an elusive, heavily bearded globe-trotter with an insatiable and mercurial taste for new/old audio gems.
Knowphase should win a cooler/deeper/better-than-your-blog award. will the world ever catch up?
    stay gold Lawrence, stay gold.

  4. addendum to prev post: that Chris Isaak track is questionable.
perhaps i’m just not ready to hear it, or maybe i’m biased because of the guy’s forehead, or the fact that David Lynch cast him in that otherwise passable Twin Peaks prequel.
    i dunno.
